No Excuses

Well, I do have an excuse. My laptop died and I strongly dislike using Mr. Starfish's for photos and editing. I loved my old laptop with Photoshop Elements 4.0. It seems that it is definitely time to upgrade though and I'm dragging my feet. I haven't updated in so long that I decided to suck it up for now and use Mr. Starfish's computer. Grrr.

In spinning news:

I'm spinning this wonderful superwash BFL in the colorway Blueberry Bush. It's a little fuzzier than I normally like but I think when it's all plied up it will be great! It is from Susan at Susan's Spinning Bunny.

I have been knitting too! I'm working on yet another baby sweater. My next door neighbor is having a baby boy in May so I'm making a slightly larger sweater that he can wear next winter.

I think these little rollneck sweaters are great for infants and the mothers love the large head opening! They're easy to knit as well so it's a win-win!

To further illustrate how behind I am in the knitting world I will say I've only once glanced at the new Knitty. The horrors!

Blueberry Patch!

I think I've been calling it Blueberry Bush but the colorway is actually Blueberry Patch. Either way, it's a great blend of blues, greens and purples.

In other news, I'm trying to decide on a pair of socks for me in sport weight yarn. I'm thinking River Rapids or Duckies (both on Ravelry) but I need to do some blog stalking of others ideas first!

To hat or not to hat....

that is the questions for tonight. The "splash" baby sweater is finished.

Our next door neighbors and friends are due to have their second son in the next few weeks and the sweater is finished. I think it will be perfect for late fall and early winter. Maybe all the way through winter depending on the baby's size. I didn't have much of the main colorway left over (the leftovers are in the picture) but I have a good amount of the solid trim color left. I'm thinking a hat could be cute with the variegated color as a trim but so many other projects are pulling me to start them right now. What do you think? Would a hat be that much of a great accessory or can I move on to something else?
