To hat or not to hat....

that is the questions for tonight. The "splash" baby sweater is finished.

Our next door neighbors and friends are due to have their second son in the next few weeks and the sweater is finished. I think it will be perfect for late fall and early winter. Maybe all the way through winter depending on the baby's size. I didn't have much of the main colorway left over (the leftovers are in the picture) but I have a good amount of the solid trim color left. I'm thinking a hat could be cute with the variegated color as a trim but so many other projects are pulling me to start them right now. What do you think? Would a hat be that much of a great accessory or can I move on to something else?

Dee:

I think a hat would be cute and it wouldn't take very long to knit up.

The sweater is so cute - I think a matching hat would be great! And where is the rule that you can't have more than one project on the needles? I'd really be in trouble! :-)

Very cute sweater! I think a hat would be great, particularly if it doesn't take a lot of time.
