52Photos - Independence

independence.jpg

This week's theme was independence. I took this picture of Kid Starfish at Cold Stone Creamery today. It represents independence in two ways. 1: We've been out of school on snow days (I'm a teacher and Kid Starfish attends kindergarten at the same school) ALL WEEK. We've had the independence to decide what we want to do every day, all day. Today we chose eating ice cream at 4:00 in the afternoon. In pajamas. 2: We left the baby behind on this outing and Kid Starfish had independence like he did before baby brother came along. Not having to be quiet for napping or wait his turn for my attention. All in all, a great afternoon.

What a week! We're just getting ready to go back to school this morning...and then it's Saturday. I can't keep the days straight when it's like this!

I wish I had thought of ice cream! We had donuts yesterday in the middle of the day. Good times.

Hi, I'm here from 52in52. Have had a quick look around your blog - love your knitting and quilting. They are 2 of my favourite things.

My daughter is also named Paige. Looking forward to seeing your photos and reading your blog over the year.

Cute take on the prompt! We were out of school a few days here as well due to all of this snow and ice we've been getting-which is not normal for us at all!
