This is a problem.

I'm making a gift for a dear friend. We lived together in college and have kept in touch ever since and she's having baby #3 - her first boy! I'm making a quilt. The problem is... the more progress I make, the harder it is to think about letting it go. I love this one! If she wasn't such an awesome person this one might be living here with me! I started with a regular 9-patch:

The I cut it into fourths and turned the blocks for a disappearing 9-patch:

I made several of these and sewed them into a strip:

I love how the disappearing 9-patch looks so much more complicated than it is. It looks like I cut large squares, small squares and rectangles doesn't it?

I'm planning to get something in aqua and having this panel being off center going from top to bottom. I love it so far!
