Quilting for a Cause!

Check out my latest quilt finish "Downtown":

I made this as a piece to be auctioned at my school's annual event to raise money for our artist in residence program. It's called Community Creates. I was paired with a community leader from whom I could get some inspiration and a few blocks were generously given by three guild-mates to help me stick to the "community" theme.

The quilt is 60" square which I find to be the perfect throw size. I am proud to say it raised $525 last night!

Beautiful! Congrats on raising so much money for such a good cause.

I love the retro look of some of the fabrics. You did beautiful work.

katie:

That's awesome that it raised so much -- so glad that members of the guild were able to help you out. Love the overall project.
