Imogen Jacket development

It's actually starting to look like something!

Despite the lack of schematics/measurements (see my earlier gripe) it is coming along and fitting well. I modified some by not decreasing the sleeves as much or as regularly. I also picked up more stitches than required along the collar but so far, so good!

Also wanted to show off the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino that Mr. Starfish gave me for Christmas. It's a gorgeous chocolatey brown. I'm guessing it wants to be a Karaoke Cable Scarf. What do you think?

Jen:

Woo hoo! Look at that! I love to see your Imogen--thanks for the comment on my blog. I cast on for a size small because I didn't want the length and then tried knitting it to the large, but i'm stuck. I'm putting stitches on holders for the sleeves (did you do your sleeves in the round?) and I'm left with a paltry 31 stitches below the sleeves, which is only about 11" below the sleeves. Really not enough, I think. I'm so confused. I haven't ripped it out, but I would like the sweater to be only about 25" long, but how will this work if there is only 11" below the sleeves? I guess I'll probably rip out and knit the large to the pattern, but I really don't want it 31" long. Email me if you have some advice (i'd greatly appreciate it!)
