I spent yesterday near Asheville (I love Asheville) at the Southeast Animal Fiber Fair and had a great time. The weather was great, I had the whole day to myself and treated myself to a few fibery goodies.
I got some pretty merino/bamboo roving dyed by Whorling Tides:
She had some beautiful things and gave me some cinnamon-colored alpaca fiber with which to play!
I also got some DIC Classy. I've been wanting to see and touch this in person and it didn't disappoint! The color is Ruby River and it is a nice magenta color with spots of purple. I'm thinking mittens.
In knitting news, I started and finished a strawberry hat (Ann Norling's fruit cap pattern). It will be sent to work with Mr. Starfish tomorrow so he can give it to a co-worker who is having a baby girl next month. So cute!

I was actually there on Friday since I was on call yesterday. I'm just glad I got to go!
