Frenetic Project Starting

So, here is the thing... I have a lot going on in my life right now. New job, last semester of my post-Master's certificate, submission to the state for licensure, some catch up on Drunkard's Medallion-along, etc. When I have a lot of things going on that I "have to" do, I have this bad habit of starting a million little things that are unrelated to the necessary tasks. Anyone else?

I bought this:

I know exactly what I'm going to do with it and I'm very excited. It's Nordika by Jeni Baker and I love it.

I love the aqua and pink and I LOVE it when a line includes black. It doesn't happen very often.

I also started pulling fabrics to make some sweet little Christmas trees:

This is going to be a table topper or wall hanging for Kid Starfish's teacher. More on that later.

It's October. It's still hot. I'm waiting for it to feel like fall!

Dee:

Cute fabrics!

I'm waiting for fall too. But, like you, I'm already planning some Christmas needlework.

Looking forward to seeing what happens with all that lovely fabric.

Good luck with all your "business" stuff. :-)

Love the Nordika! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Angie:

I'm with you. I'm supposed to be working on my thesis today. Instead, my fabric is all out of boxes and on pretty shelves in the basement. I'd probably be sewing if my table was put together... *sigh* :)
